    FOR THE STAR-LEDGER

Authorities arrested a suspect yesterday in the death of Duane Dunn, a 27-year-old Plainfield man who was fatally shot outside an adult entertainment club last month.

Phillip Patrick, 27, of Plainfield was arrested around 12:45 p.m., according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office, which released few details of the arrest or the investigation.

Task Force Detective Robert Henderson identified Patrick as the primary suspect, and he was arrested on murder and weapons charges.

Dunn was shot several times about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 at East Third and Richmond streets, an area populated mostly by warehouses, a car lot and a gentleman's club.

Dunn died a short time later at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick.

Patrick was being held at the Union County Jail last night. A court date was pending.

Superior Court Judge Robert J. Mega in Elizabeth set bail at $1 million, with no cash alternative.
