    Music concert canceled at Warrenbrook Senior Center

    The Somerset County Recycling Center, located at 40 Polhemus Lane in Bridgewater, will be closed on Thursday, November 26, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.     BASKING RIDGE – Head Varsity Football Coach Bill Tracy has been very successful in his first season at the helm. He led his team to a regular season record of 8-2-0 and the Raritan Division crown. The Ridge Red Devils were looking to continue their 2009 run that included a victory over heated rival Immaculata; the only loss the state’s 17th ranked Spartans suffered all year. They entered the playoffs as the 5th seed in the North 2 Group 4 Section with a second round showdown with Woodbridge. The Barrons came into the postseason with a record of 5-4-0.     Bridgewater Police news: Officers assisting disabled car on Route 22 arrest woman driver for marijuana possession

    Caroline Acosta, age 20 of Williams St. in Piscataway was arrested for possession of marijuana when her vehicle broke down on Route 22 on November 15. Officers responding to the scene allegedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from Acosta. When asked, she advised that she had smoked marijuana earlier that day, according to police, who said a a small baggie containing marijuana was located in the woman’s pocket.
